Scouts meet the Lord Mayor of Dublin at the Mansion House Dublin. A joint contingent of the Federation of Irish Scots Associations conspiring the Catholic Boy Scouts of Ireland and the Boy Scouts of Ireland due to attend the 12th World Jamboree in Idaho, U.S.A. and later the World Conference at Seattle. They visited the Lord Mayor, Councillor Thomas Strafford who presented the leaders, Mr. Desmond Fay, (Deputy Contingent Leader, C.B.S.I.); Mr. W.E. Judge, (Contingent Leader and Chief Scout of the Boy Scouts of Ireland) and Mr. George Sloan, (Assistant County Commissioner, Boy Scouts of Ireland) with letters of greeting to the Mayors of Seattle, Spokane and Detroit.
