Bridge over the River Taff at Pontypridd, Wales, built by William Edwards at his third attempt in 1755. A bridge with a single span of 140 ft (42.672m) 35 ft (10.558 m) high. The first bridge was destroyed by floods. The second sprung because of its weight. Weight was reduced in the third bridge by the holes on either side. From 'Scenes in England' by the Rev. Isaac Taylor, London, 1822. Hand-coloured engraving.
