Upper part of a colossal statue of Amenhotep III. Eighteenth Dynasty, about 1370 BC from Thebes. This fine sculpture stood in the kings mortuary temple to the west of the Nile at Thebes. It was part of an extensive array of architectural sculpture which adorned this temple.
