Photographer Justin Nelson was on hand to capture this rare moment in Munster Hurling on the 30th June 1957, as Ring walks off injured. Umpire Mick Mackey had flagged a goal for Tipperary although the ball seemed to have gone out over the end line for a 70. A none too pleased Ring said "You neve lost it Mick". Mackey replied " You never lost it either". The other umpire was Dick Dalton from Waterford.
