Mososaurus. Huge skull found in a quarry at Fort St Peter near Maastricht, Netherlands, in 1780. From the size of the jaw, which measured 1.142 metres, it was calculated that the whole animal must have been 7.315 metres. From 'The Animal Kingdom' by George Cuvier (London, 1830). Engraving.
