Royal Belt and Pendant Brooch. Late 1890's The queen wore this belt and accompanying pendant on state occasions, as shown in the portrait of her in about 1900. Later, the wife of her grandson wore them at the coronation of Queen Elizabeth 11 in London in 1953. The complex construction of the belt reflects long tradition in Thai goldsmithing of articulated, linked forms.
