Young Scientist Of The Year..1974..04.01.1974..01.04.1974..4th January 1974..The Aer Lingus sponsored Young Scientist of the Year exhibition was held in the RDS,Dublin.Students from schools all around the country took part in the event..Pictured at the exhibition were david O'Reilly, CBC,Cork, who did a project on coastal pollution caused by plastics around Cork harbour, Gerard Mullins and Gerald Power, Glasheen Secondry School,Cork, who did a project on the construction and operation of a distillery in a science laboratory and Jennifer Duggan,Mount Mercy School,Bishopstown,Cork whose project was a survey to isolate and identify the coloured chemicals added to foodstuffs.
