Pergamum, Berlin Heads from the Telephos Frieze The Telephos was the mythic founder of Pergamum, one of the most beautiful cities of the Hellenistic age. Originally 22 centuries ago they were placed along the perimeter of inner walls of the Zeus Altar at Pergamum. Marble, ca. 160 BC.
