The eight annual Spanish Point holiday Festival was opened in Miltown Malbay, Co Clare by the French Ambassador to Ireland Emmanuel d'Harcourt. The "Darlin' Girl From Clare" will be chosenat the festival on Sunday.Details of the event were announced at a press conference in the Wicklow Hotel, Dublin.
Image shows the reigning "Darlin' Girl From Clare" Ms Anne Shanahan with Messrs Michael Monagle, Tom Queally, Michael Fitzpatrick and Noel O'Driscoll all members of the Milltown Malbay Development Assoc.
