(R99)..1989..24.03.1989..03.24.1989..24th March 1989..While serving on the peacekeeping mission with the UN three Irish soldiers lost their lives when the vehicle they were in struck a land mine. The mine had ben planted by a Hezbollah Group who were targeting the Israeli military.
