Mr. Rotus Harvey, (left) International Chief Barker of Variety Club presenting the Gold Card - the organisations highest honour- to President de Valera, in recognition of the interest he has shown in fund raising activities of the Variety Club of Ireland to aid blind children. On the right of the President is Mr. Des O'Keeffe, Irish Chief Barker. The presentation was made at Aras an Uachtarain where a number of members of the club were present.
