St Dunstan (c925-988), born in Glastonbury, Somerset, Archbishop of Canterbury (961), patron saint of goldsmiths. Illustration of legend that Dunstan, interrupted while making a golden chalice, seized Devil by the nose with red hot pincers and would not release him until he promised not to tempt Dunstan ever again.
