Mount Kilimanjaro rises in the north-eastern Tanzania to 5 891.8 meters according to measurements made in 2008 by GPS and gravity, replacing the previous value of 5895 meters obtained in 1952 by a British team. Altitude, which was the subject of measures since 1889, with results varying by more than one hundred meters, making it the highest point of Africa and therefore one of the Seven Summits.
