Vincent O'Brien with 'Sir Ivor' at O'Brien Stables, Cashel. "Sir Ivor' was owned by American businessman and U.S. Ambassador to Ireland, Raymond R. Guest. The horse was named for his British grandfather, Sir Ivor Guest, 1st Baron Wimborne. 'Sir Ivor' won three races in 1967, the Grand Criterium at Longchamp and the National Stables and the Probationers State at the Curragh.
