Corbridge hoard and jug. Corbridge, Northumberland (UK), about AD 160 These 160 gold aureus coins were found below the floor of a Roman house in Corbridge in 1911. They were stored in a bronze jug, their true value hidden by two bronze coins wedged in its neck.
