Ulster Farmers Union meet National Farmers Association at N.F.A. House, Dublin. Six members of the Ulster Farmers Union led by their President Mr Pat Byrne had a meeting with the N.F.A., where they discussed the position of the livestock trade and what steps might be taken to avoid "a crisis later this year, similar to what happened last year". Also discussed was the implications of membership of the Common Market. Picture shows Mr Pat Byrne, President U.F.U. being greeted by Mr Richard Deasy, President N.F.A. with Mr Brendan Power Acting General Secretary N.F.A. in the centre.
