Dr Herrema Kidnap Trial Begins. K9..1976..23.02.1976..02.23.1976..23rd February 1976..After a period of incarceration, the trial of Eddie Gallagher finally got under way at the Special Criminal Court, Green Street, Dublin. Gallagher was charged with the kidnap of the Dutch Industrialist, Dr Tiede Herrema. The kidnap ended with the release of Dr Herrema after a siege at Monasterevin, Co Kildare...Picture shows onlookers gathering at the entrance to Green Street waiting for the arrival of the accused.
