Thomas Murphy hunger striker wins. Daughter Mary pours her father, Thomas's first cup of tea following the ending of his hunger strike that lasted 7 days. The 52 year-old Dundalk man started his protest because he felt he was being denied the right to carry on business through the refusal of the manufacturers to supply him with certain television sets. Father of seven children, he claimed that the manufacturers were under pressure from a neighbouring firm.
